Uta Scheurer appointed new Group Vice President Human Resources. Ruby Workspaces becomes a separate business unit with Fabian Zellinger taking over as Director Workspaces Business.
The Ruby Group is strengthening its structure and management team.
Uta Scheurer is promoted to Group Vice President Human Resources with effect from 1 November. Scheurer was the first to work alongside CEO and founder Michael Struck and has been on board since 2013, most recently as a Director and as a member of the Executive Board. In view of the hotel group’s continuous growth and the forthcoming hotel openings, the Group is acting with foresight and positioning itself strategically in the area of human resources at its head office in Munich and in the individual destinations. Ruby currently employs 285 staff in Germany, Austria and the U.K. and plans to have 685 employees working for Ruby across Europe by 2023 with a capacity of 3,576 rooms.
Also, on 1 November, Ruby Workspaces will become a separate business unit at the Ruby Group, following the successful opening of the third co-working space in Düsseldorf in October 2020. Fabian Zellinger will be responsible in the newly created position of Director Workspaces Business. Zellinger was previously Senior Manager in Development at Ruby and reports directly to Daniella Boeken, Vice President Commercial.
The new structure and emphasis for the co-working services is future-oriented: in addition to the existing three Ruby Workspaces, three more are in preparation or under construction in Germany and Austria.
In addition to Michael Struck and Uta Scheurer, Ruby’s Executive Board includes Boris Simm/VP Operations, Daniella Boeken/VP Commercial, Martin Zilkens/VP Finance, Richard Hartl/VP Technical Services, Isabell Fuß /VP Development and Tobias Köhler/Group Director Systems.
